Monday, Wednesday, and Friday | 9:00am-12:00pm
The Early Preschool program is designed to promote experiential learning in a loosely structured environment that encourages exploration and cognitive development through hands-on activities.
The curriculum for this class follows the Indiana Early Learning Standards established by the Indiana Department of Education. At the Early Preschool level, these standards promote listening and speaking skills, transition skills, social development and engagement with others, and self-regulation skills.
Reading, puzzles, simple crafts, songs, games, and circle time are part of the daily schedule and set the foundation for the more structured learning environments of our later programs.
Milestones for a successful Early Preschool Student:
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday | 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Our Preschool students explore many hands-on opportunities for cognitive, language, physical and social-emotional growth. This three morning a week program is structured to be creative and nurturing. Students establish close relationships with their teachers and develop skills for making new friends. The curriculum for this class follows the Indiana Early Learning Standards established by the Indiana Department of Education. At the Preschool level, these standards promote a love of literacy and reading and the development of fine motor skills necessary for beginning writing activities. Students in this program must be potty-trained and independent in the restroom.
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday | 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Our Pre-Kindergarten students are engaged three days a week in our play-based academic environment. Developmentally appropriate cognitive skills are nurtured at each student’s individual readiness level. Students are exposed to meaningful language activities including letter and sound recognition and mathematics skills such as number recognition, beginning computation and sorting/patterning. Their authentic experiences will assist in meeting the Indiana Early Learning Standards. These standards ensure success in kindergarten and are set forth by the Indiana Department of Education.
Magnified Mondays | 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Magnified Mondays provide an opportunity for our currently enrolled Pre-K students to see a glimpse of an all-day Kindergarten program through creative exploration and hands-on activities! Students will start our program by unpacking and opening their own lunches, followed by gross motor creative play time. Students will then rotate through two teacher-led stations with their classmates. Areas of focus are Science, Sensory, Gross Motor, Cooking, Literacy, Art, Music/Movement and Character Building/Teamwork.
Enrollment information for this program will be provided to our current students in August and December each year.

The safety of the children and staff at Plainfield Christian Preschool is of highest importance. All of our team is background checked, and we require all volunteers to have a current background check on file.
If you are interested in volunteering, please submit a background check first.
Our teachers and staff are chosen for their high moral standards, stability, and their desire to work with and nurture children. All of our lead teachers have college degrees with a special interest in early childhood development, attend regular teaching training sessions, and are CPR-certified.
